Dee Couchman, MS, LMFT, LCAC
Dee Couchman is a licensed marriage and family therapist as well as a licensed clinical addictions counselor. She has seventeen years of experience facilitating drug and alcohol support and education groups in both outpatient and residential settings. She conducts anger management groups, relapse prevention groups, and domestic violence awareness groups in private practice and in various community settings. In addition to addiction therapies, Dee is a certified Gottman method couples therapist skilled at providing couples and families with a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy and specialized techniques to help them improve communication and their level of connection and intimacy.
Dee's personal and professional philosophy is that all people have an intrinsic desire to move toward healthy change and that by partnering with her clients in a compassionate and directive way, they become empowered and capable of making healthier choices.
Education & Training
Originally from California, Dee began her career by earning certification as an addictions counselor from the California Association of Addiction Recovery. She earned a Master of Science in Education with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana University, and is currently licensed by the state of Indiana as a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Clinical Addictions Counselor.
